How we handle your data.

This notice applies to https://www.studio48web.dev and to enquiries sent through the contact form or to hello@studio48web.dev. It is written for a small UK studio site. We do not run a customer login, a mailing list, or advertising pixels on this site.

If you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect the name, email address, company name, budget range and project details you enter. If you email us directly, we also see whatever you include in that message, plus ordinary email metadata (addresses, timestamps).

Our host may record technical logs that can include IP address, browser type, referring URL and pages requested. Those logs exist to run and secure the site, not to profile you.

We collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as page views, country and device type) through Vercel Analytics. These do not use cookies and are not used to identify you. We have not added Google Analytics or other advertising tags.

The contact form also runs a Cloudflare Turnstile check to stop spam. That check may receive technical signals such as IP address and browser characteristics, solely to tell humans from bots.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. A notice on the site explains this on a first visit; dismissing it is remembered in your browser, not with a cookie.

The contact form may set a Cloudflare Turnstile cookie. That is strictly necessary to tell humans from bots, not to advertise to you. Usage statistics come from Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you.

We use enquiry details solely to read and reply, and to keep a record of what was discussed if it becomes a project. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you contacted us about work, and we need your details to answer. If we later enter a contract, we also process what we need to perform it (for example invoices and project correspondence).

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we never sell or share them for advertising. We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

We use a short list of suppliers to run the site and receive mail. They act as processors (or, for the mailbox, as a service we use to read and store email) and only for that purpose:

• Vercel hosts the site and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks contact-form submissions for bots before we send the message.
• Resend delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
• Google Workspace holds the hello@studio48web.dev mailbox.

Those suppliers may store data outside the UK, including in the United States, under their own appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses). We do not pass enquiry details to anyone else unless the law requires it, or you ask us to (for example introducing a specialist).

Google Search Console, if we connect it, is a tool we use to see how the site appears in Google Search. It does not add a tracking cookie for visitors of this site.

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 12 months. Where we do work together, we keep project correspondence and invoices for six years after the final invoice, which is the period HMRC expects for business records.

Hosting logs are kept only as long as the host retains them for operating the service — typically days or weeks, not years.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us holding it. Email hello@studio48web.dev and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site is aimed at businesses and organisations looking for web design, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
